CERAMICS MUSEUM

The Regional Museum of Ceramics of Deruta is the oldest Italian museum for ceramics; established in 1898, it conserves over 6000 works and is housed in the convent complex of San Francesco, in the historic center of Deruta.

The original name of “Museo artistica pei operai in maiolica”, already present in the first catalogue of 1900, contains within it the mission of the museum, still extremely current: not only a place of conservation and culture, but also a great model of inspiration for artisans.
